The problem is that clients and not just your staff, are being filmed.

I don't know if all MP establishments use cameras, but it seems to me to be an unwarranted invasion of privacy.

The most disturbing thing of all, is that if caught, we used to be able to say "but, I didn't know, I only went in for a massage." Now, we'll have to go to MP places wearing ski masks.

The cameras are only in the entrance not in the rooms! C'mon guys! We're not gonna film you in the rooms! Camera in entrance, focasing only on desk so we can see what the receptionnist is doing, we usually see from the receptionnists' head down to the floor therefore from half your chest down to the floor. Sorry If I scared you but regardless I really think it's a good idea to keep an eye on what the receptionnists do!

What is the receptionist gonna do steal money or something normally the owner has other ways of keeping track of things.Whether the cameras are in the room or just at the front makes no difference.

Of course it makes a difference... if you go back to the msg where I initially wrote we have cameras you can see that we get to compare the time written on our sheets and the time the client actually spent in the room. Anyways, like I said... there's absolutly no way anyone could be recognized as long as you're not shorter than 4 feet. I really don't think it's a reason for you to pannic but you're aloud to your own opinion...

That satisfies my concerns as well.I cannot accept the idea of having a camera any where in a massage parlor for any reason.This is suppose to be a very private and personal place.It's a matter of respect .I leave my camera at home when I go to a massage parlor.

I respect Abaca's decision to have cameras in their location, but it still doesn't make me comfortable.

Because of the type of location that it is, and the implication of a DVD produced from the location which can potentially provide physical characteristics of customers, it can't be dismissed, as it would be if filming were taking place in a bank or a garage station. I don't want to be filmed, whether it's 4 feet or whatever. I am entitled to privacy, in a location that is all about a very personal encounter which, in some instances can have legal ramnifications. Physical evidence is physical evidence and the less of it stays on site, the better. Just my 2 cents.

Any receptionist that requires a camera on her is either on parole or is about to be.

I'm really only worried about cameras in the rooms. Other than that I can understand why owners would want to monitor receptionists who handle cash, monitor break rooms so girls don't steal from each other, and protect against outside thieves who want to grab all that cash.

A few salons apparently have cameras in the rooms, and I stay away from those.

Most of the rest seem to have cameras in other areas, and I'm not too worried about those.
