well I guess the 500bht (including two drinks which were both banged down at once by grumpy bar staff) for NYE was a bit seforum.xxxgering for some.....but guys still out on Bangla giving cards for free entry before midnight.....has it gone back to 250 with 2 drinks now.....if not it ain't gonna survive after high season.....

I like the place myself, I have been with Ead the last two days and I still like the place. Ladies get free drinks and we farangs pays 250 baht for two drinks and its not bad.

Seduction close at 05 now, Taipan and Baya was dark when i went home. Me, Kevin and Gollum among girls and other people was there late this night. (Sorry, I had to mention Gollum as he told me in MTB earlier he never go to a disco)

Like everyone has said before, the main thing here is the music. (sorry for repeating it but I think if its said enough then maybe they will listen)

I agree with the concept of set music / theme nights (which i think they are moving toward with the beach party)

If you want to cater for the entire market then do it on individual nights!

example would be.

Monday - Shell suit Night - 80's hits and Disco

Tuesday - Wild N Feaky - Electro Night

Wednesday - Beach Party - Balearic Ibiza Tunes!

Thursday - Hard n Pumpin - Hard House / Trance

Friday - Hedonism Unplugged - Funky/Sexy House

Saturday - Gangsta's & Hoes - Hip Hop / R&B

Sunday - GERMANS ONLY - Bavarian cow bell music :happyi:

This club is so close to becoming my one and only stop of an evening out (apart from Safari when all is shut), chill in the VIP room with mates for a few then when oiled up, straight on the dance floor to get it outta me!

If only the beats were up to scratch!

Sounds good. Hope they get the custom that they will need to stay afloat. If they can keep the 5am closing up, then they will do well out of that, but cant help thinking about others trying to discourage that.

checked it out last night. they scammed us on the long islands - put the shots in a mixer and split it between 2 drinks (so half strength) but the decor was good - reasonable size. Music was not crap but Tiger is better so that ain't saying much. Get some decent DJs for god sake or have set nights for hip hop / trance / techno whatever, can't get my groove on when it keeps changing.

I made my way up the stairs a few nights ago.....was after midnight & was confronted by a sign saying 250b entry.
The door staff asked me in their broken English if I had tickets....They pointed towards the street spruikers below.....I said I have no tickets, so on that note, I walked away.
What were they on about?

Went the first three nights (briefly). Opening night they were still fitting it out at 11 so living room 2 had a fair few punters whilst they waited. Majority of those there were moneyed europeans who i have never seen in patong at night and dont think i ever will. Prices aren't high. Staff are a bit clueless. Music is a very strange mix. Photographer wouyldn't leave my girlfriend alone but she liked that i think. Probably going to get bannana type customers so make your own mind up! Too early to say really.

Not too start a new thread but whats with this new club for bangla called 'the wave' (see billboard by safari)- bad taste or not?

Regarding NYE, all discos used to charge more as long as I can remember, Banana and Tiger disco too. Think I paid 500 baht entry to Tiger disco a few years ago.

What I meant in my post Dodger, is that we all dont go around in beach wear, even if we were tourists. The point I was trying to make, you just spent 300 baht to get in and find its full of sand so you have to stay off of the dance floor.

Hi,

We met on my first visit to your place.. Since then I have been in one more time (not a statement about how entertaining I find it, not been out down Bangla much lately) and again enjoyed it, like the layout and think you have the best opportunity in town.

The point that many of us have brought up.. Define the musical style more and dont chop and change it through the night. I realize as a tourist market you have to cater to a more diverse group than in a club back in the west where you can find a nieche, and I realize your wont want to be fringe musical styles, but Phuket is ready for quality clubland sounds these days, even the normal tourist market (as opposed to dedicated clubbers) is used to hearing these kind of tunes in a night out.

Thats my number one thought to improve on what you have already (most of which works well IMHO) the rest is small things (maybe more than the limited beer brand, keep a price freeze as its upper end but bearable)..

Good luck with it Phuket needs a better club scene..
