well guys we are talking about LOS here.....not London West End.......any DJ who doesn't read a crowd anywhere is gonna be out the door quikstix...and the crowd on Bangla is gonna require a mix of genres based on a funky sound over the last 20-30 years.....with some other stuff mixed in and out to give it some breadth............as perfectly described by LIL in his post.......simple demographics really........just check out the punters in patong......

come to think of it LIL.....why doncha get down there and spin some yerself.......!!!!!

so don't forget your audience or you'll just have yer head up yer @ss and out the door at the same time.........eventualy what is played is up to management rather than the DJ....and they go by how many punters are in the joint..and how many punters are in the joint depends on the vibe....and a key ingredient of the vibe depends is the music....stuff it up fer the punters and yo are out of a job....innit

There were charging 500baht to get in too, but is suppose thats what you expect even though staff costs don't go up here like there do back in the uk.

Seduction was kicking off good last night - DJ was great and the dancefloor was almost full with the rest of the club reasonably populated.

and there were loads of hot FLs

Seduction was my favourite club, its okay if you are looking for farang women or for drunken farang men to try agressively staring at you all night.

It is the new face of Patong but not think it is what most of you guys are looking for, pop in once check it out but I do not think you will be going back much, unless you go with Tirak as not much single in there apart from fat, inflated ego farang birds.

By the way Denver, yes I did see you fall off the central podium the reverberations shook my glass out of my hand!!!!

I don't know how the place stays in business. Bad DJ. Good fitout but too dark and drink prices that put alot of people off. Without a big crowd there is no atmosphere. I heard on the grapevine that it is semi on the market for cheap but don't know if this is true or not.

I cant beat mix for shit.. And once getting it on beat theres the whole being on bar issue.. Takes me to long to sync up so I am having to panic from track to track..

Partly thats why I was interested in the beatmix software they were using.. It wasnt final scratch pro (unless its a new version or a new skin) as it had 2 spinning discs at either top with like a second / chrono hand hitting 12 on each beat.. Gave an instant very visual beat info.. Would like to tinker with that.

used to do it manually on vinyl inn a former life....especially with the funk/dance library.....but would have no idea on CD's......I am not really a tecnofile...but will always give something I am interested in a blast....

An old gits first impression, Sishow would fit in well judging by his choice of shirts he would blend with the nice flock wallpaper, didn't really hear the music being to quiet, large central dance floor, upstairs balcony, felt no real original design thoughts, reminded me of poor clubs back in the UK from about 20 years ago. Beer prices okay think 2 beers and a soda ( soda for bigboy before you accuse me or Duncs for letting the side down!) was 400 baht. Not enough FL's in there but to be fair left at 2.30am and could be a late night option after Taipan or Baya, a few clubs here have there time slot, ie Banana 12 til 2, Baya 2 til close etc. All in all didn't like it on first impression but will no doubt try it again and again just for research purposes.

Anyone go to the full moon party on Trang Beach yesterday? any good? thought it sounded a good idea and the beach there is perfect spot.

The owner has several bars in Finland. Maybe he thinks it's that easy in Thailand. When I was there the last time I heard stories from the other bar owners that he is full of it! I was there last yer in february, the place was empty!
The best thing was that we did not pay for anything!
I think that as long as you don'nt have to pay the place might have a future...for a while
Of course, no customers no income...

Still, I do hope the best for Sedu (the owner)

If you ask me, the best place in Patong is Rock City!

From what I gather from when I applied for the managers job a couple of years back is that its a large Finnish based company. They own bars and clubs throughout Europe that make money. But are wondering why they are not in Thailand.

I was slightly ****ed in the interview (no sleep for 56 hours before) so never gave them the real reason why! Now that I know walking ATM, I could via him.h: (that is not meant as a piss take. Chris, I know you make sence!)

Was supposed to try it yesterday, but now they wanted 300 BHT at 2 A.M. The 6 times I’ve been there, the dancefloor has been half-empty.

Sadly, I think they will experience some difficulties come low season, if they cannot pack it now and with these (relatively high) prices compared to the other discos.
