A nightclub is not a disco, this is where alot of the miss-understanding is taking place...a nightclub is a venue that offers entertainment (thai dancing, band etc) for customers with the addition of food being served ...but not a restaurant.

I was told in person by a senior member of (get ready for this long title) phuket provincial administration organization ? that Patongs entertainment zone will be allowed to operate until possibly 04.00 a.m from November (after the initial 6 week enforced closing at 01.00 a.m) but from next year when Phuket WILL be a duty free zone Patong will have basically open ended opening hours...if it comes nobody really knows but that is what is being planned, remember Phuket is not Thai Rak Thai controlled so The Democrats are trying to make waves for Taksin.....regarding Samui, the entertainment zone has been placed at Nathon, just where the tourists are not, so they can't really make waves.

Std in Angeles, go talk to any of the mammy-sans working for the Asia fields group of bars, then go to the clinics and have a look....AS i have many times (sadly not for a look) or go and talk with Bill (from bunny bar patong) who has just opened Private Dancer in AC...many people don't want to believe thats your choice, also not related, gun ownership is much more common and open in the Phillipines, you can walk around all Patong very safely at night, not the same feeling walking around the area of blowjob alley or the ago-go's in AC......plus bar fine-ing girls for sex is illegal thats why they are called TG'S (tour guides)

The nightlife in the Phillipines has undergone the same grid and much of what was to be had in Manila is no more. I just visited Angels a few months ago and it still has stuff going on but there is not so good as people discribed it used to be.

Technically its for everything.. Seems like Bangla is getting away with a little leeway in the order of an hour or so...

Also technically there is a 2AM licence for nightclubs but no one in town holds that type of license..

Recently in the gazette it was published that the delegation of 3 (Pian / Tiger owner / one other I forget) went to BKK and are hopeful of a 4AM deal being made for Patong... Time will tell..
